“一得阁”成立于1865年，现已有142年历史，200４年企业改制为“北京一得阁墨业有限责任公司”。2006年被商务部授予“中华老字号”企业；“一得阁”牌商标连续十几年被评为北京著名商标；一得阁公司2002至2004年被中国轻工业联合会评为全国轻工业质量效益型先进企业，获得全国轻工业质量效益特别奖；2005年被中国轻工业联合会评为全国卓越绩效先进企业；“一得阁墨汁店”被评为北京优秀特色店。2006年获得“宣武区文明单位”。“一得阁墨汁制作技艺”被评为北京市级非物质文化遗产项目名录，并列为专家推荐申请国家级非物质文化遗产项目。“北京墨块”、“八宝印泥”被普查登记为宣武区非物质文化遗产项目。“一得阁牌墨汁”、“中华牌墨汁”、“特制八宝印泥”被国家科委、国家保密局确定、核准为国家秘密技术项目。

2004年企业通过改制，成立了“北京一得阁墨业有限责任公司”。老企业焕发了新春，建立健全了经营管理系统，科研、检验机构，新产品研发部门；在北京郊区建立了生产基地；同时在全国组建了强大的销售网络，产品遍布全国各地；还销往日本、新加坡、马来西亚等国家和地区。高档书画墨汁品种在全国市场占有率为76%。2003年通过挖掘企业的历史资料研制出了“云头艳”牌精品墨汁，黑度浓重、内含紫玉之光，实为书画用品之珍宝。恰值一得阁140周年盛典之时，隆重推出“中国书画液”俗称“白墨汁”填补了中国画颜料的空白，为广大书画家提供国画留白和书写白字拓品的佳品。公司利用名牌效应综合经营开办了“一得阁墨汁店”和“艺苑楼文房四宝商店”销售本企业生产的墨汁、印泥、印台、墨锭等产品，并经营中国字画、古玩、文房四宝、工艺品及字画装裱等。
