北表历史上取得过辉煌的业绩,由原轻工业部组织研发、在中国钟表史上有重要地位的第一只“统一机芯”手表样机在北表试制成功,是行业内产销规模和社会影响都举足轻重的企业。

北表在1995年自行独立开发了陀飞轮手表。2004年,北表首发红金限量款陀飞轮金表,是中国品牌首次以贵金属外观、陀飞轮高复杂机心、限量等元素进军高级腕表市场。2005年,北表陀飞轮正式冠称“中华陀飞轮”。中华陀飞轮以其特有的无卡度游丝、中华灵燕形的摆夹板、大师手工精细打磨和装配、不对外供应机心以及有鲜明中国文化主题的外观设计,逐渐形成了独有风格和完整的知识产权。

北表于2004年底转制为有限公司,现有员工600人,资产总额1.3亿元,占地11.5万平方米,建筑面积5.8万平方米,设备2000多台套。

2006年,中华陀飞轮铂金钻表“游龙戏凤”参展瑞士巴塞尔国际钟表展,同年该表以100万元人民币被收藏,成为中国手表的前无古人之作。2007年春,北表的珐琅机心陀飞轮表“蝶恋花”、珐琅双陀飞轮表“北京2008”、中华陀飞轮八日链长走时腕表和珐琅金表亮相2007年瑞士巴塞尔国际钟表展

2010年12月6日,北京保利5周年秋季拍卖会上,“蝶恋花”珐琅陀飞轮表以89.6万元成交。2008年4月,北表携深浮雕全金机心金表“雅典娜”和中华陀飞轮三问表等高级腕表再次参展瑞士巴展。至此,北表已经具有微雕、深浮雕、珐琅、陀飞轮、三问、长走时等高级腕表的设计和制造能力,确立了北京牌手表在中国高级腕表领域的领拓地位。
