2018年1月，公司整体变更设立为南方基金管理股份有限公司，股本总额为3亿股。发起人持股比例为：华泰证券股份有限公司持股45％，深圳市投资控股有限公司持股30％，厦门国际信托有限公司持股15％，兴业证券股份有限公司持股10％。

目前，公司在北京、上海、合肥、成都、深圳、南京等地设有分公司，在深圳前海和香港设有子公司——南方资本管理有限公司（深圳子公司）和南方东英资产管理有限公司（香港子公司）。

公司拥有一支高素质、经验丰富的专业化团队。截至2017年上半年末，公司共有员工553人，超过70%的员工具有硕士以上学历，近55%的员工具有5年以上的证券从业经历，其中投研人员的平均证券从业年限近7年，30%的投研人员具有海外学习或工作经验。
