扬州漆器厂的“漆花”牌漆器，自2004年起连续六年荣获中国工艺美术大师作品暨工艺美术精品博览会7个特等奖，在全国工艺美术界位列翘楚。2002年起“漆花”商标被评定为江苏省著名商标，2004年被授予江苏省名牌产品称号。近五十年来，扬州漆器厂为党和国家领导人多次提供国家礼品，赠送给外国元首。中南海紫光阁、北京人民大会堂、外交部大楼和香港、澳门特别行政公署等重要外交接待场所，都有扬州漆器厂的产品陈列。

2004年起，扬州漆器厂在邗江工业园征地42亩，用于生产厂房建设，经过近4年的建设，2009年底，包括漆器家具项目在内扬州漆器厂新厂区建设如期完成，对于扬州漆器厂调整生产布局，扩大生产规模，实现产业化经营，打造全新项目的漆器工业园将起到重要的推动作用。
