州市南郊，毗邻柳州市白莲机场、南柳高速公路，距柳州火车货运站及柳州市航运码头10公里，交通运输十分便捷。

公司现有在职职工743人，其中专业技术人员210人，2011年底总资产达14.17亿元，蔗区面积约23万亩，年榨蔗能力140万吨以上，可年产17万吨优一级白砂糖和30万吨精制糖。

公司前身为广西国营新兴糖厂，1978年建成投产。1994年，新兴糖厂与广西国营新兴农场合并，成立广西柳兴实业开发总公司。2002年，糖厂与农场分设，改制为广西农垦糖业集团柳兴制糖有限公司。建厂之初，公司日榨蔗量1000吨，经过一系列技改扩建，2004年突破10000吨/日。为响应自治区政府关于糖业结构调整和产业升级，实现与国际接轨的战略部署，公司承担的“广西农垦柳兴年产30万吨精制糖项目”于2006年4月建成投产。

公司主要产品有“柳兴”牌精制白砂糖、优级和一级白砂糖。公司严格按照食品行业相关国际标准、国家要求进行一系列的认证、贯标工作，朝着“绿色、安全、健康”的方向，努力做好生产经营管理工作。

2006年开始，公司根据国家有关标准规定，将质量、环境、职业健康安全、食品安全四个标准整合为一体化管理体系（简称“QEOF”四标一体化管理体系），并通过了认证。“QEOF”管理体系及测量管理体系覆盖了公司一级白砂糖、精制白砂糖产品生产及其管理活动。2011年6月30日，公司生产的百事处理级和百事一级蔗糖（柳兴牌）获得了百事公司认证，并同意在百事公司大中国区使用，成为其认可的白砂糖供应商之一。
