公司前身为成立于1958年的国营仁怀县台乡窖酒厂，是上世纪90年代在仁怀市前规模名列前茅的地方企业，1997年国企改制更名为贵州省仁怀市茅台镇乡巴佬酒厂，以“乡巴佬酒”为主导产品开拓发展市场并获得了迅速、巨大的发展，由一个改制后的艰难企业一跃成为仁怀市地方十大规模民营企业。

2008年，乡巴佬酒厂成功收购了贵州民族酒厂，提升了乡巴佬酒厂的产能，企业规模得到进一步扩大。2010年发展成为拥有5家实体企业的贵州省仁怀市茅台镇乡巴佬酒业集团。

为促进贵州白酒又好又快地发展，2012年初，经过整合的乡巴佬酒业集团正式更名为贵州黔酒酒业股份有限公司，标志着一个以企业机制变革为基础，创新经营和管理模式，营造更好适应未来白酒市场竞争的氛围和要素的新企业的诞生。

2017年4月19日贵州黔酒酒业股份有限公司更名为贵州黔酒股份有限公司。

In 2008, the township winery successfully acquired Guizhou National winery, improved the production capacity of the township winery, and further expanded the enterprise scale.
