中国历程

2004年以前，英航到中国的航班一直被限制为伦敦和北京之间的每周6次航班。2004年2月，英国和中国政府签署了谅解备忘录，大幅增加了两国之间的航班班次。2009年，英国的客机航班可以飞往北京、上海和其它四个特定的中国城市。就香港的航权问题，中英签署了单独的航空服务协议。2005年1月，中英之间的ADS(Approved Destination Status)协议签署，英国成为中国政府官方核准的公民出境旅游目的地国。2006年3月，中英之间的航权增长到每周31个客机航班和7个货机航班。
