SSC从2007年就打造了号称可以挑战布加迪威龙的Ultimate Aero，确实其极速也打破了吉尼斯纪录，不过长得很像兰博基尼鬼怪的造型并没有给人们留下很深刻的印象，至少在许多车迷眼里，它只是一个速度跟风者，但是没有自己的血统，造型也是模仿意大利超跑的。

前法拉利、萨博设计师设计新Tuatara超跑，这款车型将搭载动力输出达1350匹马力的双涡轮增压7.0升V8发动机，匹配一款7速手动或手自一体变速箱，采用后轮驱动。据悉，这一动力系统将使得Tuatara在不到2.8秒的时间内从0提速至100公里/小时，时速可达443公里/小时。

在中国

2011年，SSC在中国上海开设了SC代理店，从此，SSC开始迈进中国市场。

2011年8月7日来自美国超级跑车制造商，西尔贝超跑（SSC）携品牌旗下新一代超级跑车图塔拉（Tuatara）亮相上海恒隆广场，进行为期三天的展示活动，同时宣布品牌正式进军中国市场。

SSC的超跑Ultimate Aero曾获取过令人瞩目的成绩。 该车型动力输出达1183匹马力。此次发布的这款新图塔拉超跑车由意大利籍超跑设计师杰森·卡斯特罗塔（Jason Castriota）设计，搭载一款由SSC自主研发的较大动力输出达1350匹马力的7.0升V8双涡轮增压发动机，动力将通过一款7速换挡SMG变速器或7速手动H型换档变速器传输给后轮。
