酒厂建立后，在继承和发扬金代酿酒技术基础上，不断改革创新酿造工艺。1975年，全国白酒泰斗周恒刚领导的全国白酒技术精英专家小组，历经一年的苦心研制，首创出既有酱香、浓香型风味，又有地方特点的兼香型玉泉方瓶，成为当时中国第五大白酒香型。2002年9月，酒厂由国营企业改制为民营股份制，更名为“黑龙江玉泉酒业有限公司”。通过不断学习行业先进经验，坚决实施名酒经营战略，调整产品结构，强化市场拓展，5年来，酒厂主要经济指标以年均30%的速度增长，累计完成税收近亿元。核心产品“玉泉方瓶”屡获殊荣，捷报频传。

玉泉在取得突破性的同时，也发现了自身在人才、战略和渠道上存在的瓶颈。本着合作双赢，共同发展的出发点，2008年6月，华泽集团旗下金六福投资正式并购了“黑龙江省玉泉酒业有限公司”。

所获荣誉：

2002年，玉泉方瓶酒被中国轻工业联合会、国家标准研究中心定为“中国浓酱兼香型代表酒”，从而与茅台、五粮液等名酒并列为白酒的香型代表酒。

2004年，在中国酿酒工业协会举办酒类大赛上玉泉方瓶酒被评为兼香型白酒总分第一名。

2005年6月，玉泉方瓶被评为“中华老字号”名优特产品。

2007年8月，玉泉酒获“国家地理标志保护产品”为国内9家白酒行业得此企业之一。
