北京奇良海德印刷股份有限公司由三位北京印刷学院的同班同学联合创办。从三人的名字中各选一个字，组成奇良海三字，“德”取同心同德之意。

1995年2月，公司从一台二手海德堡GTO46起步。起初的业务是几百份的宣传页，这些大型印刷公司看不上的小活儿是当时的市场空白。总经理朱国良、副总经理柏琦、副总经理王海英凭着对商机的敏感和把控能力，把小公司逐步做成了商务印刷领域的品牌。

2003年是公司的又一个里程碑。这年10月公司搬迁至顺义天竺空港工业区，在自有土地自行设计的新大楼里开始了进一步的成长。

2011年的7000万元、2012年的8000万元，直到2013年实现了1亿元的销售收入。

公司在技术上敢为人先舍得投入。胶印设备全部来自品牌企业，如德国海德堡公司，数码设备选用惠普Indigo。近些年公司在印后装备上加大投入，购买了瑞士马天尼公司的PUR胶订龙和德国凯马公司的多功能模切机。公司同样重视软件和流程控制，安装有多款海德堡控制软件。早在2005年公司就上线了ERP系统。如今全公司各职能部门都实现了数字化管理。

2004年公司确立“印刷顾问”的服务理念，强调“以客户需求为导向”和“印刷就是服务”，为上千家来自不同领域的客户提供印刷和营销解决方案。

公司在绿色印刷上着力甚多。2011年通过了FSC®-COC产销监管链认证。2012年通过绿色印刷认证，取得了环境标志产品认证证书。
