截至2014年9月，香港科技大学校园占地超过60公顷（150英亩），有教员644人，各类学生13456人，其中本科生8981人，研究生4475人。

1、本科生研究计划

本科生研究计划是科大一个特别计划旨在培养本科生对研究的兴趣。参与计划的本科生会在教授的指导下，进行研究活动。在这计划下，本科生须与教授订立研究范畴，并在计划完结时提交学术报告。计划一般为期三至四个月。

2、创业中心

英文翻译：Started in 1986, higher education institutions funded by the government's university education funding Committee and capable of awarding degrees mainly focus on science and technology, business management, humanities and Social Sciences, especially the Hong Kong University of science and technology, or HKUST for short. The Hong Kong University of science and Technology (HKUST) started from the transformation of the economic structure in the 1980s.
