山东交院机动车驾驶培训有限公司的前身是山东交通学院机动车驾驶培训中心，始建于1956年。办学历史悠久、师资力量雄厚、设施设备完善、教学经验丰富、资质条件规范，是我省较早建立以驾驶操作为主的教学、研究基地。目前主要承担普通机动车驾驶（驾照）培训，同时承担全省机动车驾驶教练员培训、全省机关事业单位驾驶员技能鉴定、全市道路运输从业人员从业资格培训、大学生驾驶实践教学以及教学研究任务等。

几十年来，为社会、机关企事业单位培养各级各类驾驶人才达10万余人。现有教练车辆62部。工作人员80余人，其中专职教练员62人。在长清大学城建有一级教练场200余亩。在教学方面，注重教育学、心理学的研究。针对不同学员的个性心理特点，探讨不同的教学方案和教学方法，建立科学、客观的教学评估体系，推动驾驶操作教学效果的提高.在服务方面，坚持“学员为本，诚信至上”的服务理念，注重驾驶员素质教育，弘扬安全教育新理念，提出“了解学员、用心服务、满足需求、增值服务”的服务模式。在管理方面，提出“事先计划、优化组织、有效激励、安全运行”的管理理念。按照国家标准配设教学、教员、学员、质量、安全、结业考试和设施设备等管理组织；有完善有效的岗位职责和管理制度，注重“严守制度、按章办事”。
