广西艺术学院位于广西壮族自治区首府南宁市，是全国7所综合性普通本科高等艺术院校之一，2012年成为中华人民共和国文化部与广西壮族自治区人民政府共建的高校。

学校成立于1938年，前身是我国音乐家满谦子和现代画家、美术教育家徐悲鸿以及作曲家、音乐教育家吴伯超于1938年在桂林倡议建立的“广西省会国民基础学校艺术师资训练班”(简称“艺师班”)。 1960年更名为广西艺术学院，由专科学校升格为本科院校。在70多年的办学历史中，一批艺术家和艺术教育家，如满谦子、徐悲鸿、吴伯超、阳太阳、陈烟桥、陈良、黄独峰、朱培钧、陆华柏、李志曙等曾耕耘在学校，他们执教治学，弘文励教，为学校的发展奠定了良好的基础，积淀了深厚的文化底蕴。
