“古洞春”品牌从一株野生大叶茶树开始，艰苦创业，历经几十年的发展，成长为湖南省茶业企业。依靠繁育成功的“桃源野生大叶茶”这一优良品种，改写了湖南茶史。1969年秋,公司前董事长卢万俊先生，在湘西武陵、雪峰山脉的湖南省桃源县太平铺乡上陆家冲洞溪（海拔300—1039m），发现一株野生大叶茶树单株，其叶长达21cm,宽15cm。茶树年年只开花不结果，繁育成为一道难题。后在湖南农大茶学系、湖南省茶叶研究所专家、学者的指导帮助下，历经3年，采用无性钎插方法，成功繁育出了湖南省无性良种“桃源野生大叶茶”。1989年，通过湖南省科技成果鉴定，1992年湖南省科委正式立项开发这一优良品种。为丰富茶品种、提升茶品质、传承茶文化作出了历史性贡献！
