昆明曲焕章药业由曲焕章孙子陈晓静、陈小弟于2003年注册成立，同年在香港亦注册成立曲焕章药业，取名“云南曲焕章大药房药业（香港）有限公司，2004年7月28日更名为云南曲焕章药业（香港）有限公司。
曲焕章先生1880年生，是中国民国时期中医，集中医药与民族医药之大成，于1902年发明试制成功“万应百宝丹”（后来的云南白药），后又陆续研制成“虎力散”“撑骨散”等共22种功效号的中药。在抗日战争，解放战争等关系中国命运转折的事件中屡著奇效，救人无数，得到海内外一致赞誉。
先生于1938年在重庆逝世。
1956年2月，全国解放后，曲焕章遗孀缪兰英把白药秘方献给了新中国，由昆明制药厂生产，并且将曲氏白药更名为 云南白药 。后将22味密方传承给其女曲竹林女士，曲竹林女士于2002年传承给其子陈晓静、陈小弟。2015年陈晓静，陈小弟正式向昆明曲焕章药业开发有限公司移交曲焕章秘方。
2018年7月公司入驻昆明高新技术产业开发区，2018年9月公司与地产名企远洋控股集团（中国）有限公司携手在昆明签署协议，共同兴建以“医药研发、教育培养、医养结合、健康休闲”为主题的云南的“曲焕章名族医药产业园”，同年开办中药饮片厂，建立中药饮片GMP生产车间。
