南通星辰合成材料有限公司的前身——化工部南通合成材料厂始建于1975年，当时为南通影片成色剂工程筹建处，主要产品为影片冲洗套药配套。1984年开始，成为原化工部在东南沿海地区的新材料研发、生产基地，主要从事PBT基础树脂、改性工程塑料、双酚A、环氧树脂、感光化学品的研发及生产销售。1997年，在化工部党组的直接关心和安排下，加盟中国蓝星集团总公司。2000年，蓝星集团旗下的蓝星化工新材料股份有限公司与南通合成材料厂合资组建了南通星辰合成材料有限公司，目前南通星辰是蓝星化工新材料股份有限公司的全资子公司。

公司注册资本金8亿元，总资产25.59亿元，现有职工775人，大中专以上各类技术人员390人。

南通星辰老厂区地处南通市姚港化工区内，占地面积约11万平方米，建筑面积为4万余平方米，科研开发、生产及辅助装置、公用工程配套、三废处理设施齐全。

2007年，根据市政府“退城进郊”统一部署，公司整体搬迁至南通经济技术开发区，新厂区共购置土地800亩，其中一期项目占地面积430亩，总投资15.5亿元。目前一期项目1550吨/年彩色显影剂、3万吨/年改性工程塑料、6万吨/年PBT基础树脂、5万吨/年环氧树脂装置、3.5万吨/年多品种环氧树脂装置、9万吨/年双酚A及配套公用工程等装置均已建成投产。

公司从事高品质工程塑料、环氧树脂、双酚A、彩色显影剂等产品的生产、销售，建立了较为完善的产品营销网络，占有一定的终端市场优势。产品工艺技术精良，质量稳定，成为多家国际公司的供应商。公司已获得ISO9001、ISO14001、GB/T28001即质量、环境、职业健康安全“三标一体”管理体系认证，工程塑料产品有多个品种通过美国UL公司黄卡认证。

公司目前正围绕工程塑料改性和多品种环氧树脂两个产业方向，以满足市场需求为导向，调整产品结构，优化和完善上下游产品链，积极论证和规划二期项目，未来的发展空间更为广阔。
